The male nurse seemed slightly concerned with my pain, and even more so after I was leaving and told him thank you for at least treating me normally. The Doctor didn't return and discharge me or provide any help other than forcing me to perform bodily stretches and flexes, which caused more pain. The bodily stretches and flexes he had me perform do not measure pain accurately, I do these stretches at Physical Therapy in South Windsor and they are not beneficial yet.
Uncomfortable experience and will never return to Rockville Hospital again. Due to the medications I take, the Doctor and his staff immediately neglected the fact that I was in pain and during the 3 hour and 45 minute visit, they neglected the most common of essential comforts as well.
Stay away from any ECHN hospital and make the drive to St. Francis or Hartford Hospital.
I had to ask for pain relief, which I asked for in the form of a heating pad. I was given 2 heating packs. That provided 10 minutes of relief which brought my pain down from a 6 to a 3-4. After 1 hour and 40 minutes, this was my first interaction with anyone on the staff, and I was the one to initiate it. I was placed on a bed outside of a room, not given a pillow, blanket, or drink. I received a drink (ginger ale) after asking for one, shortly after my heating packs.
Awful experience a family memeber needed glue(aka stiches). The Dr was just awful. Stay away at all costs go to St. Francis because Manchester is worst.
