Very nice people, answered questions on the phone, needed to update our Pellet Stove. Bought a new one, they took our old one, quick at removing old, fast installation.
I also get my pellets from them. If you get your pellets from them and get a yearly cleaning they will service it forever, just pay for parts.
Stopped in today because the fan on my wood stove stopped working. The wood stove came with the house when we purchased it so we had no information on it such as manufacturer or installer. All I had to show them was a photo I took of the front and side, but they were able to narrow it down to the right make and model. Unfortunately it was not a brand they carried so I had to go elsewhere for the part, but I am grateful that they were so willing to help even when they knew they wouldn’t be able to make a sale. Will be going here if I ever need to replace my current set-up!
This place never answers their phone. We wanted to get our pellet stove cleaned, and figured we'd give them a try since they're local to us. Nobody showed up for our appointment so I called to find out if something had happened, they said they had me scheduled for a different day. There is no way I would have taken an appointment 3 weeks out when winter is right around the corner. Very disappointed. I guess this is why we decided not to buy our stove from them in the first place.
Phelps & Sons Inc is great, now the son owns the business as far as I know. And he's the best. I text him If I have an issue and he gets right back to me. They open I think at 10 so i'm sure that's why the other person had an issue with them not answering the phone. My business doesn't open until 10 as well, and people get mad. Get over it, they open when they open lol. Besides I never call the office now just the owner. All his people are super nice, they helped me pick the right pellet stove for my house. Its beautiful, works amazing. My house is a solid 68, and its set for 68. Up stairs bedroom will usually be exactly 1 degree below where the pellet stove is. Not bad ;-) I have the Harman P35i.
These are honest people who refused to sell me parts that I thought I needed, but didn’t. This actually happened on two separate occasions. It’s refreshing to find people this ethical and honest. I would highly recommend using them for your pellet stove needs.
