Not great? Simply superb!! Beginning with top shelf ingredients and continued with the skill of an experienced French baker every item is masterfully crafted with care and commitment to quality and authenticity. All this and affordable too. Highly recommended! A+
The flavor and quality of all that I've tried from here is so uniquely wholesome and delicious. I love their sweet breads and croissants. It's nice to have someplace like this that has a traditional and perfected approach to all their goods.
So although at the moment Google says this is permanently closed, it actually moved to Rockville center. It's such an amazing bakery and I want to make sure people know it's an alive and well business for you to purchase the best pastries and breads from. I lived in Germany for two years and haven't found anything that compared to European sweets until coming here. It's no surprise considering the owner is a lovely woman from Metz, France, who definitely is the best Baker I've ever met. You'll never be disappointed.
Our UConn French grad class took a field trip there because our professor had heard of it. The baguettes (long thin bread) are the best I've had in the U.S. because she uses the best ingredients. We also tried the Madeleines. The prices are very reasonable. The owner Colette told us she gets up really early to bake everything fresh. She took some time to explain her business to us in French.

This bakery is a little spot of European baking that beats every other bakery I've been to in the US. Real bread, delicious desserts, and unbelievably amazing chocolate eclairs. The woman who owns and bakes is from Metz, France, and is very lovely.
